On our trip to Quebec in August of 2007, I took a series of photographs of this Ruby-throated Hummingbird during a walk at the Cap Tourmente Wildlife sanctuary, on the banks of the St. Lawrence River, near Mt. St. Anne. This painting was developed from one of those photos.

My subject matter reflects three life-long passions: nature, history, and architecture. I have lived most of my life in New England. I love painting subjects from my home region, as well as from the travel that my wife, Linda and I enjoy doing together.
