I photographed this family of owl and owlets during our 2009 Spring Florida trip. The owlets are exhibiting typical behavior, peeking out from behind a screen of grass to investigate Linda and I as we photographed them. Their mother (or father) appears more impatient with their precociousness than concerned for their safety.

My subject matter reflects three life-long passions: nature, history, and architecture. I have lived most of my life in New England. I love painting subjects from my home region, as well as from the travel that my wife, Linda and I enjoy doing together.
