Description
Castle Hill Lighthouse is located on the shore of Aquidneck Island, in Newport Rhode Island. It guides ships into the east channel of the Narragansett Bay. It was built in the late nineteenth century on the property of biologist and industrialist Alexander Emanuel Agassiz. I did this painting during our 2012 mid-winter trip to Newport and Cape Cod.
